-
My practice is 100% online therapy (teletherapy).
-
Online Therapy (or teletherapy) is counseling provided entirely online via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. This format makes therapy straightforward and seamless: you can attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own space. I handle all sessions, so you always work directly with me, Liza, ensuring consistent, personalized support.
-
I am licensed to provide therapy to clients physically located in the state of Massachusetts. Since all therapy sessions are virtual, you must be physically located within Massachusetts at the time of our appointment.
-
My current private-pay fee for a 50-minute virtual therapy session is $150. I am an in-network provider with the following insurers:
Aetna
Blue Cross and Blue Shield
Carelon
Cigna
Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan
United Health
I am considered an out-of-network provider with all other insurers, but I can provide you with a detailed superbill (a medical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm your coverage details.
-
A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document that clearly outlines the expected cost of your therapy services for the coming year. As your solo practitioner, I am required to provide you with this estimate before your first session if you will be paying for sessions out of pocket. This ensures complete transparency, so you know the full cost of my fees upfront, helping you plan your investment without any surprises.
A Superbill is a detailed, itemized receipt for the services you've received (like a doctor's invoice). It contains all the necessary medical coding and diagnostic information that your insurance company requires. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill, which you can then submit directly to your insurance provider to seek partial reimbursement for the fees you paid me. This is the mechanism by which out-of-network clients often recover a portion of their costs.

Your first appointment is a warm, supportive conversation dedicated to understanding you and your goals. We'll spend the time focused on three main areas:
Deep Dive: We'll explore what brought you to therapy, the history of your anxiety, self-doubt, or life stress and how it impacts your day-to-day.
Goal Setting: We will establish clear, actionable goals for our work together—what does success look and feel like for you?
The Plan: We will talk about exactly how we’ll use therapeutic tools (such as CBT or something else, depending on your needs) to start building the concrete steps toward your desired outcome.
You don’t have to do all of the talking! I guide the session, ensuring you feel heard, understood, and leave with a clear sense of the path we're about to take together.
-
Because my approach uses focused, action-oriented methods like CBT, SFBT, and ERP, we prioritize efficiency. While everyone’s timeline for personal growth is unique, most clients begin to notice subtle shifts in their anxiety, confidence, or ability to manage stress within the first few sessions, with more significant changes occurring in the first few months. We will work together to set clear, realistic goals and track your progress to ensure we are always moving toward your desired destination.
-
I understand that life happens. I require 48-hour notice for cancellations. If a session is canceled with less than 48-hour notice, you will be responsible for paying a cancellation fee. This policy helps ensure I can offer consistent time slots to all clients.
